Richard founded TSP in 1988, previous to starting TSP, he had worked as a master locksmith and manager of a national physical security company.
Over the past 30+ years, Richard has become a well-known and respected face within the security industry. Building a company based on his vision and values, TSP has become one of the leading independent security system integrators in the UK.
Still actively involved in the business, splitting his time between visiting customers, developing & implementing strategy and leadership, leaving the day to day running to his experienced senior management team.
Richard is both passionate about the security industry and dedicated to developing the next generation of engineers and leaders.
Outside of work, he is a keen tennis player, golfer & snowboarder and in spring 2020, he is running the London marathon for a children’s charity.
Mark joined Richard after leaving school in 1992 and has worked within the business ever since. Starting as a junior engineer, Mark has worked his way through the ranks to his last position of Project Director.
Still involved in the day to day running of the business supporting the project team. Mark has exacting standards which underpins our reputation for excellent delivery, and visits all of our active projects to ensure the quality of what we deliver meets these standards.
Outside work Mark plays golf, rides his motorbikes and snowboards. He has recently taken up kick-boxing.
Chris’ industry experience spans almost 30 years, starting his career on the tools as an engineering apprentice. Since then, Chris’ natural ability in building relationships, with both clients and partners; understanding holistic business requirements and his aptitude at mentoring & developing the skills of those in his team, has seen him work his way up through the ranks to Sales and Marketing Director: a position he has held for 15 years.
A respected and well known security professional, Chris’ role within TSP is vital in developing our key growth sales strategies, developing & maintaining relationships and understanding the needs of our clients.
In his spare time, Chris enjoys kayaking and long river walks with his twins and wife. And in spring 2020, will be joining Richard in running the London marathon.
Richard started his Security career in 1988 as a junior engineer within a manufacturer of covert microwave video and RFID detection equipment. Following a company acquisition by a large security manufacturing group, Richard was promoted to general manager whereby he managed the access control subdivision, overlooking installation and maintenance of one of the first PC based access control systems.
In 2001, Total Security Protection acquired that company. Since then, Richard’s commercial, financial and business continuity skills have seen him progress to his current position of Commercial Director, supporting all departments in the business commercially and heading the finance department.
Outside of work, Richard is involved with his local rugby club at mini, junior and youth levels.
Wayne began his career in manufacturing of electronics, swiftly moving into testing and providing quality assurance. His customer focus and passion in delivering on the client requirements saw him move into service and maintenance. This, coupled with his technical know-how, led him to pursue a career in the electronic security arena.
Wayne’s Security career spans more than 20 years, in which he has flourished and has shown great skill and aptitude in successfully managing in many areas pertaining to delivery and teams. In his role as Head of Projects st Total Security Protection, Wayne’s key focuses are governance, reducing operational risks to both clients and TSP, whilst driving compliance and reducing waste by delivering the requirements on time and defect free.
Ian’s security career spans 25 years, beginning as a service and installation engineer with responsibilities for service, commissioning and system design. During this time, Ian’s thirst for knowledge has gained him experience in a wide range of the equipment and services we deliver.
Ian’s strong customer focus, system knowledge and being results driven, saw him join the senior management team over 10 years ago, and is now responsible for the exemplary service delivery here at TSP.
In his spare time, Ian has an active, outdoor lifestyle with particular interests in cycling and kayaking with his children.
Starting her career at Barclays Bank, Alison worked across multiple departments within the bank; including business and corporate banking. Alison’s most recent roles were operational support team leader in corporate banking and assurance and improvement manager, where she was responsible for assessing the banks policies and procedures across the retail network, driving compliance and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
After 25 years in Barclays, Alison took a break for her family, joining TSP in 2016 bolstering our technical support team. In August 2019, Alison was promoted to Head of People at TSP, where she is utilising her skills, knowledge and experience of people management and compliance to support all areas of the company.
