About the Event

This one-day event, held at the very top of London’s Highest Event Space which provides a breathtaking backdrop of London, is one not to miss.

Keynote Speaker – Nick Aldworth
We are pleased to announce Nick Aldworth as this year’s TECHDay keynote speaker, who will deliver a keynote talk on Martyn’s Law / UK Protect Duty.
Nick retired from a 37-year career in the military and policing in May 2019. Across that time he enjoyed multiple operational roles, with the last 5 years serving as a Detective Chief Superintendent in Counter Terrorism Policing where he held the role of National Coordinator (Protect and Prepare).
Nick held a number of security and leadership roles. He was London’s CT protective security and preparedness lead during the 2017 terrorist attacks, responsible for coordinating the police and other emergency responses to those incidents, as well as supporting the private sector to make themselves stronger.
Prior to this, Nick was head of policing and security at Parliament, managing a mixed team of 500 security and police officers.
On retirement, Nick joined forces with Figen Murray OBE, whose son was murdered in the Manchester Arena attack, and Brendan Cox, the husband of Jo Cox MP, in campaigning for the UK Protect Duty, and he was the author of the proposal on which the government has recently consulted.
