Meeting Covid Safe Regulations – Return to Work

As we approach the end of 2020, there is a light at the end of the tunnel and the possibility of returning to normal within the next 12 months is now real. But until then, we need to remain Covid Safe compliant. TSP, alongside our technology partner Suprema UK has developed a solution which enforces compliance and helps to reduces the spread of Coronavirus.

Following a successful proof of concept, utilising a clients existing access control system and Suprema’s Elevated Temperature and Face Mask Detection system (ETFMD), TSP are now rolling out the solution to multiple client’s in preparation for their return to the office in January 2021. The solution, which interfaces with existing Access Control System, only permits entry to those who meet the pre-defined criteria; temperature within threshold, facemask worn and appropriate access card presented.  However, should one of the criteria for entry not be met, the built-in reader will remain disabled and the failure to enrol will be presented on the Facestation Screen.

As the Suprema Facestation 2 module is manufactured with an inbuilt reader, there is no expensive integration software or licencing required with the ACS. The unit is connected to a reader port on the ACS controller and programmed as an enrolment reader to activate the door group required. The added advantage of the systems not being integrated is not relying upon either system to ensure compatibility should there be a software update, making this a very cost-effective solution for both CAPEX and OPEX.

Furthermore, the Facestation fully interfaces with TSP’s 7 core technologies: Honeywell, Tyco, Genetec, Amag, Lenel, Nedap and Gallagher

TSP’s relationship with technology providers, such as Suprema, pays dividends when providing and delivering actionable and tailored solutions to our clients. To find out more, contact us on [email protected]
